NM Group appeared on Sky News this month to discuss our commitment to apprenticeships.
Our group HR director Karen Morris and apprentice Amy Smith were interviewed live on primetime business talk show Ian King Live on March 8 on topics including our award-winning training scheme, alternatives to university and the apprenticeship levy as part of National Apprenticeship Week.
The prestigious programme, which attracts an estimated 14 million viewers globally, is renowned for covering the UK’s biggest business and economics stories.
Karen said: “We were delighted to have been invited to talk about our apprenticeship scheme. It was a wonderful experience, which provided NM Group with a global platform to discuss training opportunities within the company.”
We employ 100 apprentices – about seven per cent of our workforce – and continue to invest in training initiatives for new and existing employees.
Chief executive John Homer said: “Our people play an essential role in everything we do, which makes training and development so vital. Attracting new talent and developing their skills is crucial to the construction industry. We must continue to nurture, educate and develop the teams of the future.”
