North Midland Construction PLC (NM Group) have successfully achieved ISO 27001 following an assessment of their information security management processes.
The British Standards Institute (BSI) carried out a thorough 2 stage review and audit of the processes and risk management approach utilised by NM Group in relation to Information Security. The assessors were extremely impressed with the dedication shown by those involved and how well the standard had been implemented throughout the company.
ISO 27001 was developed for businesses to be able to "provide a model for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an information security management system”. NM Group believe there are many benefits to being accredited to ISO 27001 including providing customers and stakeholders with confidence on how we manage risk, and ensuring confidential information is kept secure, whilst maintaining its integrity and availability to be dealt with efficiently.
Mark Mason, QESH Director for NM Group commented, “Achieving ISO 27001 is fantastic news for NM Group and recognises the systems and process we have implemented in respect of Information Security, and it will help to protect our business and reduce risk.”
