North Midland Highways

Updated October 2018

Our Highways Division have been recommended for Collaborative Working accreditation ISO 44001.

We announced in August that our East Midlands Asset Delivery (EMAD) Alliance had received ISO 44001 accreditation for Collaborative Working. The EMAD Alliance comprises 23 partner organisations from across the asset delivery model, including North Midland Construction (NM Group), who collaborate to make sure our major roads are dependable, durable and safe.

This Alliance model is the first of its kind, and we are excited to announce that our Highways Division is to be the first member of the EMAD Alliance to progress through a formal audit by BSI, and therefore have been recommended for its own accreditation to the ISO 44001 standard.

This is a great achievement and recognises the imaginative way in which our people demonstrate true collaboration to deliver against Highways England’s key imperatives of safety, customer service, delivering efficiently and supporting its people. In addition, the Alliance has identified pioneering ways to deliver innovation and added value to road users, supported by all partners and our extended supply chain.
