NM Group held its annual Supply Chain Forum on Thursday 9th November - celebrating the success of collaborative working over the past 12 months
The event was attended by more than 150 people, with suppliers and sub-contractors from across the country given an exclusive insight into new strategic developments and innovations at NM Group.
Held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, the event featured sessions by Matt Barney (group supply chain director), John Homer (group CEO), Mark Mason (group QESH director), Gary Ross (head of BIM), Andy Langman (MD of Nomenca) and Mark Hanrahan (business development director).
Attendees also took part in the ‘skills gap’ breakout sessions, to debate the skills shortage in the engineering and construction sector – and what action should be taken by the industry to combat it.
NM Group’s CEO, John Homer said: "People are our differentiating factor and the driving force behind our business and that of our supply chain network. Being able to build strong, collaborative partnerships with those who share the same values is critical. Together we have a collective voice from within the industry.”
The event concluded with the announcement of NM Group’s Supply Chain Awards 2017 winners:
- Pro-Tect GRP Enclosures Ltd - Award for Quality
- Hurst Setter & Associates Ltd - Health & Safety Award
- Durapipe UK – Award for Innovation
- Pipeline Services UK Ltd – Performance & Customer Service Award
- VUS Ltd - Performance & Customer Service Award
John added: “We had a huge number of nominations from the across the Group, which made it very difficult to pick just five winners. Many thanks to all our supply chain partners for the important role you play in our extended team.”
