West Bromwich Town Square Phase 1
A flagship £1.7m project to provide a high quality square to complement The Public, an Arts Council funded inter-active leisure facility. The works included the provision of large areas of granite sett paving laid over a concrete foundation and mortar bed, high quality landscaping, marble benches and fittings with complementary downlighting and were carried out to a high standard. The scheme complemented the adjacent building to provide an attractive focal point as the first phase of the town centre redevelopment. Key features were that the works were carried out under a road closure and the adjacent busineses had to be kept operational during the course of the works requiring consultation, liaison and careful programming.
